Kyle McClellan (elbow) is currently on pace to begin a throwing program in early July. McClellan was diagnosed in mid-May with a small tear of his ulnar collateral ligament. He paid a visit to Dr. James Andrews and was told that he does not need Tommy John elbow surgery, so rest and rehab is the route that the right-handed setup man is taking. McClellan could be back in the major leagues at some point in August.
