Kyle McClellan (dead arm) hopes to be added to the NLCS roster if the Cardinals make it. McClellan has been throwing bullpen sessions in hopes that he'll have improved his health and strength enough to be part of the next round's roster. It's no guarantee that it will happen, but he gives the Cards another option. McClellan posted a 7.71 ERA in September while allowing five home runs over his last 11 2/3 innings.
