Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks put together a strong start on Monday against the Cardinals. Hendricks pitched eight innings and allowed seven hits, one run, zero walks and four strikeouts. The Cubs needed a win bad and Hendricks came through. The Professor is now 5-4 with a 3.41 ERA heading into Saturdays matchup versus the Brewers.
