Kyle Gibson was knocked around for eight runs over 5 1/3 innings Thursday in a loss to the Yankees. Making his second major league start, Gibson gave up 11 hits and one walk while fanning a pair. He was charged with the final two runs after being replaced by Brian Duensing in the top of the sixth inning. Struggles are to be expected with rookie pitchers, but we still think he'll have value in mixed leagues until he runs into his innings limit. He'll get the Rays next week on the road.
