Kyle Blanks went 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored Friday against the Rockies. Blanks crushed a two-run homer into the left field seats in the top of the second inning and later added an RBI single in the fifth. The 26-year-old is now batting .292/.374/.491 through 38 games this season. With Yonder Alonso (hand) expected to miss around a month, hopefully more starts at first base are in Blanks' future.
