Kyle Blanks went 2-for-3 with a homer, a walk and three runs scored against the Dodgers on Tuesday. He also made a nice running catch of a Hanley Ramirez liner to right field. For a young guy who isn't getting consistent playing time, Blanks is doing a nice job for the Padres, hitting .277 with four homers and 16 RBI in 94 at-bats. We suspect he'd prove to be a more valuable player than Carlos Quentin if given the chance.
