Kyle Blanks remains on the Padres' active roster. The Padres originally planned to send Blanks down to the minors when Cameron Maybin was activated from the disabled list Thursday, but they have decided to put Yonder Alonso (wrist) on the disabled list instead. Blanks is batting .273/.362/.434 with four home runs and 16 RBI in 116 plate appearances this season and should continue to see playing time between first base and the outfield.
