Kyle Blanks (Achilles) is set to begin a minor league rehab assignment on Saturday. It still hasn't been decided whether that will be with Single-A Lake Elsinore or Triple-A Tuscon. The length of his rehab assignment has yet to be determined, but he isn't expected to return to the Padres until early September.
