Kopech allowed one run on three hits and one walk while striking out four in Sunday's game against the Rangers, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Kopech did what coaches wanted of him -- command his fastball and secondary offerings and incorporate his changeup. He didn't throw many changeups, but the ones he did were located where he wanted them. It's unknown if he'll get another start in major league camp, but the young right-hander has something to build upon as he prepares for what likely will be a placement at Double-A Birmingham this season.
