Koehler (9-1) was removed after 85 pitches over four innings Wednesday against the Nationals, having allowed four runs (three earned) on two hits, three walks, and three strikeouts. He took the loss.
EDGE Analysis
It was a bizarre stat line for Koehler, who allowed just two hits in the start, although one was a three-run homer. Koehler is usually one of the Marlins' most consistent starters, having gone at least five innings his last 11 starts. He has struggled a bit with command of late, however, walking 13 batters over his last five starts. Koehler's ERA rose to 4.02 with the short outing, and he'll look to get that number back below four when he takes the hill against the Mets on Monday.
