Kim didn't get his expected start against right-hander Rick Porcello on Monday, and with southpaws on the bump for Boston over the next pair of games, Kim may not play again until Friday, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's been a rough start in 2017 for Kim. When spring training opened, the 29-year-old was confident he'd receive more at-bats against left-handers this season, thus increasing his playing time. However, through the O's first 24 games, Kim's logged just one at-bat against southpaws while even ceding some plate appearances against right-handers. The outfielder is hitting .257/.350/.371 over 13 games played.
