Kiermaier's neck is stiff as a result of a headfirst slide into second base Sunday at Toronto, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. After the seventh-inning play Sunday, Kiermaier played in the field for two frames, before manager Bud Black sent in Brandon Guyer to pinch hit in the top of the ninth. Meanwhile, Kiermaier started August 7-for-58 at the plate, but since sitting out last Thursday, he's notched six hits (including three doubles), one RBI, and one run scored in nine at-bats.
