Kiermaier will have his broken left hand examined Monday in St. Petersburg by team specialist Dr. Doug Carlan, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The results of the exam will likely dictate whether or not Kiermaier will need surgery, which Topkin reports will be highly likely if the two fractures Kiermaier suffered to the metacarpal bones on the back of the hand are displaced. Current estimates place the 26-year-old outfielder out for a minimum of two months. Kiermaier is slashing .236/.307/.447 over 123 at-bats this season.
