Kiermaier (neck) signed a six-year, $50 million extension with the Rays on Tuesday, Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although mostly known for his elite defense in center field, Kiermaier quietly put together a solid offensive season in 2016. Despite missing 57 games, he posted a career-high 12 home runs in 414 plate appearances and finished with a career-best .331 on-base percentage. The 26-year-old is a better real life player than fantasy player, but if he's able to stay healthy, he'll have a good shot at posting 10+ homers and 20+ stolen bases.
