Kiermaier (neck) is back in the lineup as the designated hitter Wednesday, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

EDGE Analysis

As expected, Kiermaier will return to spring action after sitting Tuesday with a sore neck. He will bat out of the two-hole, which is where he projects to be on Opening Day. We will continue to monitor the neck issue at least until he's back in the field -- it's something that was a problem earlier this month as well -- but the Rays seems confident it's a minor injury. The fact that they just signed Kiermaier to a six-year, $53.5 million extension speaks to that confidence.
