Kiermaier (hip) was seen using crutches in the clubhouse after Thursday's win over the White Sox, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The Gold Glove center fielder was lifted from Thursday's game after suffering an injury on a slide into first base. The Rays have already diagnosed him with a jammed hip, but the full extent of Kiermaier's injury won't be known until he goes for further testing Friday. If Kiermaier is held out for the series opener against the A's, Peter Bourjos would be a viable option to take over in center.
