Kevin Slowey was scratched from Sunday's start with Triple-A Columbus as a result of being struck in the head by a ball during batting practice Friday. It's not clear how long he might be out, but obviously he won't be considered for a promotion if the Indians should need a starter in the next few days. Slowey was one of the last spring training cuts after failing to make the rotation.
