Kevin Slowey (abdominal strain) will throw 3-4 innings at an undetermined minor league affiliate Wednesday. Slowey allowed two runs over two innings for High-A Fort Myers Saturday in his first rehab appearance but did strike out four without walking anyone. He might be ready to return to his long relief duties if Wednesday's outing goes off without a hitch.
