Kevin Slowey (abdominal strain) will begin a minor league rehab assignment with High-A Fort Myers. He is scheduled to pitch two or three innings. Slowey was cleared to begin a rehab assignment after throwing 30 pitches in a simulated game Wednesday. The 27-year-old right-hander has been sidelined for over a month with an abdominal strain.
