Kepler went 1-for-5 with a grand slam and two runs in Sunday's 15-5 victory over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie came through with a 393-foot shot to left center in the fifth that brought home Kennys Vargas, Joe Mauer and Eduardo Escobar, his first career grand slam. The emerging Kepler already has a whopping 18 RBI in July, with 14 of those notably coming against Rangers pitching. Although he's understandably still adjusting to major league pitching, the 23-year-old is starting to deliver on some of his considerable potential, and provides a reason for optimism in an otherwise forgettable season for the Twins franchise.
