Kennedy immediately motioned to the dugout after a pitch in the third inning of Thursday's game and was later diagnosed with a left hamstring strain. Manager Bud Black suggested afterward that a DL stint was possible, but it now sounds as though Kennedy will indeed end up missing at least a couple weeks. Odrisamer Despaigne, who did not give up a hit over 4.2 innings in relief of Kennedy on Thursday, would be a logical fill-in.
