Kennedy allowed two runs on two hits, walking five and striking out seven over 6.2 innings of a 7-1 loss to Philadelphia on Friday night.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy (8-12, 3.94 ERA) again saw his normally solid command desert him as he needed 118 pitches to get through 6.2 innings. He walked three in the opening inning without being scored upon, walked two more, hit a batter, and uncorked a wild pitch, but managed to avoid any major damage in a strong, albeit losing, effort. Kennedy has pitched much better in the second half, but he is still inconsistent and could still be a risky play going forward.
