His whole season has gone much like Tuesday's start, with brilliant strikeout and walk numbers but poor results. Kennedy's ERA is now up to 5.23 despite a sterling 3.0 K/BB. Kennedy gave up two more home runs Tuesday to bring his total to 17 on the season; his brutal 2.07 HR/9 would be the worst in Petco Park history by a pitcher with at least 100 innings pitched if it holds.
