Kendrick batted leadoff for the first time since Sept. 13 and responded with a trio of hits, breaking out of a 5-for-32 skid. The doubles were Kendrick's first extra-base hits of September, and he'd managed just one RBI this month prior to Sunday. The 33-year-old has been slumping since mid-August, but perhaps his multi-hit effort can help him finish the season on a high note.
