Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the Marlins are fielding trade interest in right-handers Josh Johnson and Ricky Nolasco, third baseman Hanley Ramirez, first baseman Carlos Lee and left-handed reliever Randy Choate.
The Marlins traded Anibal Sanchez and Omar Infante to the Tigers on Monday and should continue to sell off parts in the days ahead. However, Rosenthal notes that they intend to "make baseball trades, not simply dump salaries." Johnson would likely bring the most in return, but Scott Miller of CBSSports.com reported late Monday night that the Marlins would prefer to keep him. The 28-year-old right-hander is under contract for $13.75 million next year, after which he becomes a free agent.
