Kelly (biceps) threw three innings in a minor-league intrasquad game Friday, the Boston Globe reports. He allowed one run on two hits and two walks while striking out five. Thirty-one of his 53 pitches were strikes. Kelly said the arm felt better throwing Friday than it has all spring and was hopeful. "Stuff-wise and health-wise, I felt really good," said the right-hander. There's a very good chance Kelly starts the season on the 15-day disabled list -- he's behind the other starters and hasn't built up his innings yet.
