Ruiz enters the 2021 season as a bit of an enigma which is somewhat odd to say given that we have six years of minor league data to peruse. Still just 22 years old, the young catcher has shown that he's capable of making a lot of contact and hitting for a strong average. But, historically, he doesn't hit for much pop. That's a bit of a difficult profile for a slow-footed catcher as putting a lot of balls in play on the ground doesn't benefit him as much as it would an average-or-better athlete....
