Kaprielian (elbow) is still expected to pitch in the Arizona Fall League, the Star-Ledger's Brendan Kuty reports.
EDGE Analysis
He has been throwing batting practice sessions lately as he continues to work his way back from an elbow injury that sidelined him for the bulk of the 2016 season. If he is indeed able to pitch in the AFL, that would allow him to take on a slightly bigger workload in 2017 than he would otherwise be able to. One of the Yankees' top pitching prospects, Kaprielian should be assigned to High-A or Double-A in 2017.
