Justin Turner is starting in the outfield Thursday for the first time in his major league career. Turner will play left and bat leadoff against the Nationals with Lucas Duda getting the night off. The 28-year-old has logged 86 starts at second base, 40 starts at third base, 17 starts at first base and 10 at shortstop.
