Justin Turner is expected to play with the Escogido Lions of the Dominican Winter League. Escogido is managed by former Mets bench coach Ken Oberkfell. Turner, who previously played for the team two years ago, is hitting .273/.326/.373 with one home run, 17 RBI and a .698 OPS in 175 plate appearances with the Mets this season. Mets manager Terry Collins plans to add the outfield to Turner's resume next spring, so it's possible he could get some playing time there over the winter, as well.
