Juan Nicasio yielded one run in 6 2/3 innings Wednesday in the Rockies' 2-1 victory over the Pirates. Nicasio didn't figure into the decision. The Rockies finally got him a 1-0 lead in the top of the seventh, but that disappeared right away, as he gave up a homer to Pedro Alvarez in the bottom of the inning. Colorado ended up winning despite being outhit 9-3 on the afternoon. Both of the team's runs came on sac flies. Nicasio lowered his ERA to 4.76 with the performance.
