Juan Lagares went 3-for-5 with a triple and a run scored in Wednesday's loss to the Dodgers. Lagares tripled and scored against closer Kenley Jansen to bring the game back within one run in the ninth inning, but it wasn't enough. Despite intermittent playing time, Lagares continues to hit, now slashing .315/.355/.486 in 116 plate appearances. His performance merits regular playing time, but manager Terry Collins has been creative with his outfield thus far.
