Juan Lagares went 2-for-3 and stole his first base Saturday as the Mets edged the Tigers 3-2. Lagares got to hit second behind Eric Young Jr., and he had the better day of the two, as Young settled for a bunt single in his three at-bats. The Mets don't believe Lagares is ready to be a leadoff man, but his glove should more than make up for Young's possibly OBP advantage. After all, Young, for all of his speed, had just a .310 OBP last year.
