Juan Francisco went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts in Saturday's loss to the Angels. Francisco has now struck out in six straight at-bats. While he has swung the bat well since joining the Jays, this shouldn't a surprise given his 33 percent career strikeout rate. Regardless, Blue Jays manager John Gibbons plans to give Brett Lawrie (hamstring) more playing time at second base once he returns to action in order to keep Francisco's bat in the lineup.
