Juan Carlos Oviedo (elbow) had to be shut down from throwing for a few days recently because of lat soreness. It doesn't appear to be a major setback, but it won't help Oviedo's chances at returning next month to fill a role in the Rays' bullpen. Tampa would probably view his return as an unexpected bonus at this point.
