Josh Tomlin wasn't sharp on Saturday, allowing five runs on 10 hits over six innings in a loss to the Twins. The Twins jumped all over Tomlin right from the start, pushing four runs across in the first inning. Trevor Plouffe added a solo homer in the sixth to complete the damage against him. Tomlin walked one and struck out three in the game, through Twins hitters made solid contact against him throughout the game. With the loss, he falls to 2-3 on the season and raises his ERA to a pedestrian 5.32. It won't get any easier for him as he travels to St. Louis to take on the Cardinals on Friday. There's no reason for him to be started in any leagues at this point.
