Josh Tomlin (elbow) was cleared for his first rehab start Friday with the Arizona Rookie League Indians. He only pitched one inning, but gave up just one hit and didn't allow any runs. It was his first game action since undergoing Tommy John surgery last season. If he can avoid setbacks, Tomlin should rejoin the Indians in mid-August.
