Josh Thole went 1-for-2, producing one of only six Mets hits as they were shutout by the Reds on Tuesday. Thole is hitting a paltry .262 with just one homer and 18 RBI on the season. With Tuesday's acquisition of Kelly Shoppach, who will draw most starts against left-handed pitching, Thole loses most of what little value he did possess in two-catcher formats.
