Josh Reddick began swinging a bat last week and is slightly ahead of schedule in his recovery from wrist surgery. Reddick underwent surgery in November to repair torn cartilage in his left wrist but is expected to be ready to roll once spring training starts. Set to turn 25 next month, Reddick will be a regular in the A's outfield in 2012, though it's not clear at this point which position he'll play. He batted .280/.327/.457 with seven homers, 28 RBI and a .784 OPS over 278 plate appearances with the Red Sox this past season.
