Josh Donaldson is expected to bat second for the Athletics this season. Donaldson mostly hit in the middle of the order last year, but he batted second in 23 of his final 30 starts and hit .326/.422/.581 in those games. ''I feel comfortable wherever Bob (Melvin) puts me,'' Donaldson said. ''He put me there last year some toward the end of the season and it seemed to work.'' Donaldson's RBI total will take a dip in the second spot, but he'll have the potential to score more runs.
