Josh Donaldson (hip) went 0-for-3 in his return to the A's lineup Sunday against the Red Sox. Donaldson had been out since Friday night with a strained hip flexor. The 26-year-old should get regular playing time down the stretch at third base with Brandon Inge (shoulder) now ruled out for the season.
