Josh Beckett improved to 2-1, allowing four runs in five innings as the Dodgers defeated the Mets 9-4 on Tuesday. Beckett wasn't particularly effective, allowing eight hits -- including home runs to Curtis Granderson and Lucas Duda -- while walking two and striking out six. But he was better than Rafael Montero, which was all he needed to pick up his second win of the season. Beckett will take his 2.89 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 46/17 K/BB ratio into his next start against the Phillies on the road.
