Jose Alvarez lasted just three innings Monday afternoon in the Tigers' loss to the Blue Jays. Alvarez yielded five runs -- four earned -- and has now allowed a total of 12 runs on 21 hits and seven walks over his first 19 2/3 major league innings for a 5.03 ERA and 1.42 WHIP. He'll likely be shipped back to Triple-A Toledo when Anibal Sanchez (shoulder) returns.
