Jones will leave the Orioles spring training camp on March 6 to join Team USA for the World Baseball Classic, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

Position players report to Sarasota on Friday, giving Jones a little more than two full weeks with his MLB club. The center fielder played for Team USA in the 2013 WBC, but his performance was less than impressive (.182/.240/.227 with six strikeouts in 22 at-bats). However, that slump didn't carry over to the big league season, as the 10-year-veteran had a season-high .327 batting average in April that year. With that said, owners shouldn't put too much stock in Jones' WBC performance.
