Jonathan Sanchez (ankle) has resumed throwing. Sanchez has been sidelined since spraining his left ankle on August 16. The southpaw has yet to throw off a mound, but Giants manager Bruce Bochy is optimistic he will be able to return before the end of the season. "He's been throwing, so he's starting to make progress," said Bochy. "The way he's going now, we're more optimistic with him helping us."
