Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com hears that most expect the Rangers will eventually work out a contract with Japanese right-hander Yu Darvish. "There's no reason to think this won't get done," one high-ranking baseball person told Heyman. "There's no reason to think this has to go to the deadline, either." Darvish is currently in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with his father for a visit with the Rangers, which is seen as a positive sign. The two sides have until January 18 to reach an agreement. The 25-year-old right-hander is believed to be seeking a five-year deal in the range of $75 million.
