Jon Heyman of CBS Sports expects many large market teams, including the Yankees, Red Sox, Rangers, White Sox, Blue Jays, Cubs and Angels, to get involved in the bidding for free agent catcher Brian McCann. There has been speculation that McCann could secure a deal worth upwards of $100 million this offseason, and if baseball's biggest spenders are indeed interested, that looks like a realistic estimate. The 29-year-old backstop is coming off another solid offensive season in which he hit .256/.336/.461 with 20 homers and 57 RBI in just 102 games. He's now eclipsed the 20-homer plateau in each of the last six seasons, and remains one of the top performers at an offensively-challenged position.
