Jon Heyman of CBS Sports confirms that free agent Tim Hudson has an agreement in place with the Giants.
FOX Sports' Ken Rosental says the deal is worth $23 million over the next two seasons. It's back to the Bay Area for Hudson, who spent the first six years of his major league career in Oakland. The 38-year-old right-hander posted a cool 3.97 ERA and 1.19 WHIP across 131 1/3 innings this past summer for the Braves and should fit in well in San Francisco behind Madison Bumgarner, Matt Cain and Tim Lincecum. The Giants want to add one more reliable starting pitcher to that mix.
