Johnson (elbow) said his delivery feels better than it has at any point since 2011, Jon Morosi of FOX Sports reports. While Johnson's optimism should obviously be taken with a grain of salt, he does seem to be making decent progress in his recovery from April 2014 Tommy John surgery. He threw his first bullpen session March 23, and is scheduled to toss another one Monday. Johnson could be big-league ready as soon as late May or early June, but it's not clear that the Padres will have a role for him.
