John Harper of the New York Daily News reports that the Mets have turned down a trade offer of Luke Gregerson for Daniel Murphy. The Mets are seeking relief help, but evidently don't feel giving up Murphy for a reliable setup man is worth it. Jon Morosi of FOXSports.com thinks Gregerson, who has a 1.13 ERA since mid-June, will be a "name to watch" at the deadline. It's clear the Pads are more interested in trading him than Huston Street.
